Privacy policy

Your personal information is entrusted to us to serve you, and for nothing else.

Last updated: October 20, 2026

This policy explains how Gestion DBI Inc. collects, uses, shares, retains and protects personal information, in accordance with Québec’s Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector. It applies to our websites gestiondbi.com and gdbitelecom.com (Gestion DBI Télécommunication division).

Information we collect

When you fill out our contact form, we collect:

  • your name, and your company name if you provide it;
  • your email address and, if you provide it, your phone number;
  • the service you need and the description of your project;
  • the date of submission and the IP address the request came from, to prevent abuse and spam.

When you email or call us directly, we collect the information you choose to give us. Like any website, our servers also record technical data (IP address, browser type, pages viewed) in logs used for security and proper operation of the site.

Why we use it

We use your information only to:

  • respond to your request and prepare a quote;
  • follow up on our exchanges and, if you become a client, provide our services;
  • protect our websites against abuse and attacks.

We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we never add you to a mailing list without your consent.

Cookies

Our websites only use cookies that are needed for them to work:

  • langue: remembers your chosen language (French or English) for one year;
  • session: protects the contact form against automated submissions; it is deleted when you close your browser;
  • Cloudflare security cookies: used to tell visitors apart from malicious bots.

We do not use any advertising or profiling cookies.

Sharing with third parties

Your information is only accessible to members of our team who need it to handle your request. We also rely on service providers who may, as part of their services, process some information on our behalf:

  • our web and email host, which hosts the website and the messages we receive;
  • Cloudflare, which keeps the website secure and fast;

Some of these providers may process information outside Québec, including in the United States. We choose reputable providers that offer adequate safeguards. We may also disclose information when required by law.

Retention and security

We keep your information for as long as needed for the purposes for which it was collected, or longer if required by law, and then destroy it securely. Our websites use an encrypted connection (HTTPS) and access to your information is limited to authorized people.

In the event of a confidentiality incident that presents a risk of serious injury, we notify the Commission d’accès à l’information and the people concerned, as required by law.

Your rights

You may at any time:

  • ask to access the personal information we hold about you;
  • ask that it be corrected if it is inaccurate, incomplete or ambiguous;
  • withdraw your consent to its use or ask that it be deleted, subject to our legal obligations.

We respond to your request in writing within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec.
